Made in California, the 23rd Annual Jurried Exhibition
A proud tradition returns to the City of Brea Art Gallery in Made in California, the 23rd Annual Juried Exhibition from June 1-27.

This year’s guest juror, Gloria Williams Sander of the Norton Simon Museum, will select up to 80 artworks from hundreds of entries from across the state of California. Made in California is indeed a favorite in art circles because it always offers the unexpected. Emerging new artists have an opportunity to surprise the public with fresh concepts and unusual materials displayed alongside polished classic formats. The exhibit is friendly to the curious passerby and playful for seasoned critics.
The City of Brea Gallery is located in the Brea Civic & Cultural Center at 1 Civic Center Circle, Plaza level, Brea (adjacent to the Brea Mall). Gallery hours are: Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, noon to 8 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and free for ages 12 and under. For more information, call (714) 990-7730

Ordinary Objects Become Art
I have been to many of Daryl’s art shows! Wow! She is an amazing artist. I love how she takes ordinary everday objects and makes art out of them. Her attention to detail in reflection is outstanding! You have to see this for yourself at www.darylgortner.com. Which one is your favorite?
